The stretch of cold and wet weather we’re in postponed sports events for the Greene County teams. The Rams were to have sent their high school girls and boys track and field teams to Woodward on Tuesday for the Woodward-Granger Invitational. but that meet was cancelled. The Greene County girls’ golf team was to have hosted the Heart of Iowa Activities Conference tournament at Cedar Point near Boone today, but that has been postponed. No makeup date was announced immediately, but conference officials will be working to find a new date.

If the weather doesn’t straighten out soon, Thursday’s events could be in jeopardy. The Rams are to have a track and field meet in Boone tomorrow while the golfers are also scheduled for action. The Greene County girls’ golf team is scheduled to play Roland-Story at Story City and the Greene County boys are scheduled to host Saydel (Des Moines) at the Lakeside Course northwest of Grand Junction.
