Everything on the Greene County school sports schedule so far this week has been called off due to wet, cold conditions. With some improvement forecast for today, athletes and coaches are hoping to be able to compete today.

The Greene County high school track and field girls and boys are scheduled to go to Boone for the Boone Classic beginning at 4:30 p.m. with Algona, Webster City, Denison-Schleswig, and the host Toreadors.

The golf squads for Greene County are scheduled to play as well. The girls are set to go to Story City to face Roland-Story at 4 p.m., and the boys are scheduled to host Saydel (Des Moines) at 4 p.m. northwest of Grand Junction at the Lakeside Golf Course.

As is always the case, today’s action is “weather permitting.”
