bike monthAll kids in the Perry area are invited to participate in one of the first events of Bike Month.

Bike to School Week kicks off today and continues through Friday.  Kids of all ages are encouraged to stop by the McCreary Community Center after school each day to record that they rode their bike to class.

Those who do so at least four out of the five days this week will receive a free pizza party on Friday.

Chamber of Commerce executive director Bob Wilson says there are many benefits to bicycling and now is a good time to remind kids of that.  He says it’s good exercise, environmentally friendly and fun.

Even if you can’t ride to school, everyone is invited to stop by the recreation center Friday at 3:30pm to decorate their bikes before the parade around Wiese Park at 4:00.
