Everyone is invited to a meet and greet event in Jefferson this weekend.

Iowa House District 47 Representative candidate Hans Erickson from Boone will be at the Greene Bean Coffee shop on Saturday, May 17th.

He will be available for public questions and comments about his candidacy for the Iowa House of Representatives.

This is Erickson’s first run at public office but he’s been involved in political scene in the past.  While attending Drake University as an undergrad, he was the legal intern for former Governor Chet Culver’s office and interned for the Iowa Research Staff.

He will graduate from Drake University this year with his master’s degree in Public Administration.  While working on his master’s, Erickson clerked for Senator Daryl Beall of Fort Dodge.

The free public event will start at 10am on Saturday, May 17th.
