StuartThe Stuart Public Library is looking for area residents to help with some of the activities and programs they will be putting on this summer.

Library director Sandy Pollard says volunteers are needed in the following capacities:

Decorators are needed, primarily this month, to help design and put up bulletin boards for the library entry way.

During June, lesson planners are needed to help the library come up with hour-long sessions focusing on their themes each week, which will include weather, engineering, food science, music/art, and animals/plants.

At least two story hour presenters are needed every Tuesday this summer from 10:30 to 11:30am.

For special events, which will typically take place on Thursday nights, photographers are needed to take pictures of the event, but basic helpers are also needed to help set up such events.

And finally, a volunteer is needed to help check-out and shelve books from 11 to 11:30am every Tuesday.

Anyone with questions about any of these volunteer opportunities can contact Pollard at 515-523-2152.
