The Perry Boys Soccer team hosted the ADM Tigers last night at Dewey Field, for outright first place in the Raccoon River Conference. Perry would lose a heart breaker by a score of 4-3 in penalty kicks. After a scoreless first half, ADM would strike first in the nine minute mark on a free kick, but only three minutes later Perry would get the equalizer on a Luis Gonzalez goal. After both teams couldn’t score in either overtimes, the game went to penalty kicks. ADM would defeat Perry by a score of 4-3 in the penalty kicks. Perry Head Coach Garry Overla, says there were plenty of chances for his team to score in the extra session. “Yeah we just need to finish better, we controlled the ball for probably no exaggeration for about 80 percent of the game. Ya know its just crazy how well we possessed the ball.” Perry Boys Head Soccer Coach Garry Overla. With the loss Perry drops to 5-1 in the Conference. The next game for the Bluejays will be Thursday at Carroll.
