Any Greene County 4-H fifth and sixth grader are invited to attend this year’s Junior 4-H Camp.
Greene County ISU Extension 4-H and Youth Coordinator Sarah Jo Reynolds says this camp is for anyone that has completed fifth and sixth grades and you don’t have to be in 4-H to go to the Iowa 4-H Camping Center near Madrid in Boone County.
She talks about some of the activities that youth will be involved in.
“They get to have the complete camping experience there are the Iowa 4-H Center. (They) get to know other kids interested in 4-H and they get to go on nature hikes, wall climbing, canoeing, swim, work on some outdoor camping basics and much more.”
She states that the deadline to register is by Friday, May 23rd on a first come, first served basis. The camp will be from June 8th through the 11th with the cost to sign up of $185 or with a reduced price of $92.50 with a scholarship from the 4-H Foundation available.
