Just because school is out in a couple weeks, doesn’t mean area kids won’t have something to eat this summer, thanks to the United States Department of Agriculture’s Summer Food Service program.
All children 18 years and under are invited to enjoy breakfast and lunch free of charge starting June 9th in Perry.
Breakfast will be served at the elementary school weekdays from 7:30-9am and from 8-8:30 at the high school Monday through Friday.
Lunch service takes place at both schools from 11:30-12:30 during the week.
Meals at the elementary will be provided through August 1st, while service at the high school ends July 3rd.
Adults can also accompany the children and purchase breakfast for $1.50 or lunch for $2.50.
This is the fourteenth year the USDA has provided summer meals to the Perry community.
