The Perry Bluejays will compete in three events and the Perry Jayettes in one event later today as the 2014 State Track and Field Championships get underway in Des Moines.   Raccoon River Conference champion Scott James will compete in the high jump beginning at 2:00.  Keegan Pfau will run in the 3200 meter finals at 4:05 with junior Will Whiton running in the 100 prelims at 4:45 in class 3A.  The final event for Perry tonight will be the timed finals of the 400 meter run with freshman Emma Olenjzack representing the Jayettes.  Whiton will compete in the long jump tomorrow and the Perry 4×400 will run Friday as well.   Listen to the Raccoon Valley Radio group beginning this afternoon for complete results from the 2014 State Track and Field Championship.
