The City of Redfield Public Library at 1112 Thomas St., Redfield reported that someone had broken a window at the library.  Four flat screen computer monitors were taken and damage was done to the window and a closet door.

Interstate Power and Light  out of Cedar Rapids reported the theft of copper wire and leads were taken from a substation at 12821 310th St.

Tickcha Jaimes of 408 E 4th St., Dawson reported the theft of items that were taken from a residence that had burnt down in April.

Nicholas Vento of Waukee was traveling on R Ave when he slowed down and put his left run signal on to turn into the boat ramp entrance and was struck by a vehicle driven by Robert Harkrader of Adel.  Mr. Harkrader thought that Vento was going to run right so he pulled into the south lane to pass the vehicle.  No injuries reported.  Damage to Vento’s vehicle estimated at $4000.00 and $5000.00 to Harkrader’s.  Harkrader was cited for passing too near an intersection.

Dana Wayne Baker, age 29 of 209 N 6th St., Missouri Valley was arrested on a warrant for failure to appear-original charge of criminal mischief.

Jesse James Sellers, age 19 of 1620 Otley, Perry was arrested at 2nd and Otley for interference with official acts.

 

*A criminal charge is merely an accusation and the defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
