ADMThe ADM girls golf team is the fifth best golf team in Class 4A this season.

The Tigers shot a combined score of 380 yesterday in the second round of the state girls golf tournament at Ames Golf & Country Club after shooting 378 on day one.  Their 36-hole total of 758 was just 12 shots behind runner-up Charles City.

Cedar Rapids Xavier ran away with the Class 4A state title, shooting a combined score of 691 to finish 55 shots clear of the field.

Lexi Owen was the top finisher individually for head coach Cris Goodale’s squad, as she shot a two-day score of 179 to place sixth. Teammate Hayley Willems was not far behind–she finished with 36-hole total of 182 to tie for 10th.
