David OlesenA second suspect has been arrested in connection with several burglaries in Greene, Dallas and Boone counties.

Greene County Chief Deputy Sheriff and lead investigator Jack Williams says they arrested 44 year-old David Eric Olesen of Perry following a executed search warrant at his home yesterday at 911 West 5th Street in Perry.

Williams states that Olesen is accused of stealing various items in connection with the same investigation that involves Brian Dunlap of Perry who authorities arrested on Sunday.  He adds that they also searched Dunlap’s residence at 305 10th Street in Perry yesterday too and recovered more stolen items.

Williams notes that Olesen is facing several charges relating to stolen property and burglaries pending identification of the items by their owners.

The second male suspect was arrested in Carroll County yesterday where he is being held without bond.

Williams comments that Dunlap is facing additional felony charges of possession of stolen property and burglary in Boone County and a felony charge of possession of a firearm by a felon in Perry.  More items were recovered earlier this week at 2901 Willis Avenue in Perry at a storage facility.

He adds that Dunlap had accrued over 700 pounds of copper wiring and had sold most of it to ESI Iron and Metal in Herndon, Quandt Auto Salvage in Carroll, A&B Salvage in Boone and another facility in Boxholm.
