ADMThe ADM softball team stayed in its groove last night, winning yet again over another ranked conference foe.

The Tigers took down the Boone Toreadors 6-2 in Adel.  ADM has now won 12 of its past 13 games and six straight in the Raccoon River Conference.

The game stayed scoreless through three innings until Molly Jacobsen connected a one-out RBI single in the bottom of the 4th to give the Tigers the lead.

In the pitcher’s circle, Jacobsen had a perfect game in tact through four innings and a no-hitter through five.  The Toreadors would score a run in the top of the sixth however to tie the game at one run apiece.

But in the bottom half of that that same inning, the Tigers blew the game open.  ADM scored five runs on four hits in its final at-bat of the night. Jacobsen had a two-RBI double off the top of the wall in the frame, and just two batters later, first baseman Caitlyn Gruening hit a three-RBI, bases clearing double to put an exclamation point on the Tiger win.

Jacobsen would allow Boone to scratch one more run across in the seventh, but she struck out Liz Sterenberg to end the ballgame–her 11th strikeout of the night.

ADM is now 17-8 overall and 7-4 in conference play.
