Perry scored  5 runs over the final two innings to defeat Carroll 5-3 in RRC softball Wednesday night from Carroll.  The Jayettes trailed 1-0 heading into the 6th inning but senior Kylie Brandt delivered a one-out 2 run single back up the middle to give Perry a 2-1 lead.   The Jayettes scored 3 more times in the 7th inning as Carroll self destructed with 3 costly errors and 3 passed balls.  The Jayettes finished with only 4 hits on the night.  Julie Diw, Rachel Kinney, Brandt and Maggie Biedler provided the offense.  Brandt finished with 3 RBI’s.  Emma Olejniczak picked up the win allowing one earned run off 7 hits while striking out a season high 10 batters.  Haley Hoffman smashed a 2-run home run for Carroll in the 7th but Olejniczak came back to get Sarah Klocke to line out to Victoria Hegstrom in centerfield to end the game.

The Jayettes are now 14-8 and 5-5 inRRC play on the season and will travel to Boone tonight for a 7:30 matchup with the Toreadors.  Boone outslugged Perry in extra innings in their first matchup this year.
