We got an ADM softball update earlier in sports, so how about a look at the Tiger baseball team?

Jason Book’s ballclub is 14-8 overall right now and their conference record is 6-4, which puts them right in the middle of a bunched Raccoon River Conference.  The Tigers are currently two games behind first place Winterset in the loss column.

Grant Goeden has been swinging a red hot bat the few weeks and it shows in the conference rankings.  He is among the top hitters in the conference in total hits, batting average, triples and stolen bases.

Looking at the Tigers top pitcher, that would be the big lefty Sam Kornstad.  Amongst starters in the conference, Kornie has the sixth best ERA at 1.81, and he’s top five in total strikeouts.

While Kornstad won’t be on the hill tonight following his nine inning win over Boone Wednesday, his Tigers will be in action taking on Bondurant-Farrar.

First-pitch is scheduled for 7:30 on K107.
