ADMThe ADM softball team was supposed to hit the road last night to take on the ranked Norwalk Warriors, however, heavy rains and prolonged lightning spells prevented that from happening.

With the Tigers finally getting a night off due to last night’s bad weather, let’s get you an update on where ADM stands statiscally with less than two weeks remaining in the regular season.

Rick Dillinger’s club is 17-8 overall and 7-4 in conference play.  The Tigers are currently in third place in the Raccoon River Conference.

ADM ace Molly Jacobsen has established herself as one of the top, if not the top pitcher in the conference.  She’s lowered her ERA down below 2.20 and her lead in the conference in strikeouts continues to grow.  With over 220 Ks on the year, Jacobsen has nearly 100 strikeouts more than any other pitcher in the conference.

Offensively, senior center fielder Jessica Wyant has the top average for the Tigers, hitting over .400 so far on the year.  Wyant is one of just seven players in the conference with 30 or more hits in 2014.

The entire ADM club will have a chance to improve on all of those stats tonight in Solon.  The Tigers play Iowa City High and Keokuk tonight before taking on Ottumwa and Des Moines Lincoln tomorrow.
