Governor-Branstad-WebIt is customary for Governor Terry Branstad and Lieutenant Governor Kim Reynolds to make public stops around the state each week, but it has been awhile since they’ve been in Guthrie County.

That will change this coming week, as both are scheduled to be in Guthrie Center on Wednesday afternoon to take a tour of facilities at Rose Acre Farms.

Branstad and Reynolds’ tour of Rose Acres is their fourth and final public stop on Wednesday, and it will begin at 4:30pm.

The governor’s Communications Director Jimmy Centers tells Raccoon Valley Radio that the reason for the upcoming visit is “to say thank you to a small business like Rose Acre Farms, which plays a role in helping the Iowa egg industry produce $2 billion in annual sales and support 8,000 jobs across the state.”

Centers says Branstad and Reynolds are excited for their Guthrie Center visit.
