Greene County was to have hosted Nevada tonight in Heart of Iowa Activities Conference baseball and softball, but rain throughout much of the day forced the postponement of the scheduled contests. The softball game was to have been broadcast on KG98. No word on make up dates was given.

The softball Rams are 22-6 overall and 13-2 in HOIAC play. Coach Tom Kennedy’s Rams are off tonight and play in Alleman vs. North Polk on Wednesday. The Rams host Gilbert Thursday on KG98 with coverage starting at 7:15 p.m. Greene County is one-half game up on PCM (Monroe) in the conference race. The Mustangs are 12-2.

Greene County has won four of its last five baseball games and is 7-12 overall. Coach Mark Sawhill’s Rams are also off tonight. They’ll host Gilbert on Wednesday at Allensworth Field on KG98 with coverage starting at 7:15 p.m.
