Large amounts of rain in recent days have made it difficult to make up baseball and softball games. Greene County Activities Directory Dean Lansman will be on the phones again today trying to reschedule Heart of Iowa Activities Conference contests with Nevada that were scheduled for yesterday, but were rained out.

The softball game with the Cubs is vital to determining a Heart of Iowa Activities Conference champion as the Rams, (22-6, 13-2) are one-half game up on PCM (Monroe). The Mustangs are 12-2 in the league, and postseason play begins on Tuesday, July 8, meaning there are limited opportunities to make up games. Coach Lansman will be in contact with Nevada activities officials.

The A.D. told Raccoon Valley Radio it doesn’t look like the baseball game washed out on June 27 vs. South Hamilton (Jewell) will be made up, and he’s hoping the baseball game with Nevada can be, but nothing is official.
