GC EXHIBIT 3There are several competitions and entertainment going on during the Greene County Fair from July 8th through the 14th.

There is a cattle fitting contest at 2:30pm on Thursday, July 10th at the Showring on the fairgrounds in Jefferson where competitors challenge each other in their cattle fitting skills.

The Town and Country Band will perform on Friday evening during the barbecue meal that’s served by the Greene County Cattlemen’s Association at 5:30pm at the bus barn.

Saturday, July 12th brings all kinds of games and fun for everyone.  A baby contest begins at 9:30am at Clover Hall with two divisions and several different awards.  Registration will be at 9am.  Ages of children must be between newborn to 2 years old as of July 1, 2014.  At 3pm also in Clover Hall will be a watermelon eating contest which is open to everyone.

Sunday’s activities include a cribbage tournament to start at noon at Clover Hall followed by an arm wrestling tournament at 2pm.  Participants will go up against the Monster Arm Wrestling Machine and are divided into gender and weight divisions.  There is a $10 entry fee and it will be at the bus barn.
