The Adel City Council will meet in regular session this evening.
The first item on the agenda is a public hearing in regards to the voluntary annexation of property near the southwestern edge of the City along Highway 6. The City Clerk will then talk about Freedom Fest on August 2nd before the Council set a public hearing in regards to the sale of real property on 18th Street.
Other new business items include a resolution in regards to moving forward with the Main Street Façade Restoration project, setting a public hearing for an extension of the Urban Revitalization Plan tax abatement schedule and approval of a special event permits for the Sweet Corn Festival and Sweet Corn 5k next month.
The Council will then consider appointments to the Library Board and Parks and Recreation Board, discuss potentially painting the ADM Tiger logo on the south water tower, discuss parking at 201 South 9th Street, consider a plat of survey for Northwater LLC and consider the appointment of Anthony Brown as the interim City Administrator.
The meeting takes place at 6pm at the Adel City Hall.
