isu extensionEating foods fresh out of one’s own garden has become more and more popular in recent years as people have tried to eat and shop locally.

Well, ISU Extension Nutrition & Health Program Specialist Holly Van Heel will discuss freshly harvested herbs in a new workshop at the Guthrie County Extension Office in Guthrie Center this Thursday.

Van Heel will talk about popular herbs, their culinary uses and the health benefits that can be gained by using herbs in everyday meals.

Thursday’s session begins at 6pm, reservations are requested and the cost to participate is just $5.  To sign-up, call the Extension Office at 641-747-2276.
