lake panoramaIt can be attributed to many different things, but construction of the new swimming pool at the Lake Panorama National Conference Center has been delayed and will not resume until September.

The new pool is a cooperative effort between the Clover Ridge Interval Owners and the Lake Panorama Association.

The LPA cites a few reasons behind the recent decision to halt construction for the summer.  First off, the harsh winter postponed the start of construction by at least a month, and then when construction did begin late spring, continual storms and cold temperatures forced further delays of pool construction.

The LPA says the new pool also sustained some damage when the Mother’s Day Storm touched down near Lake Panorama.

Also, the pool has gone through a design change that must be approved by the State of Iowa.

Pool contractors are scheduled to return in September to complete the pool and adjacent hot tub by late October.  Once the pool construction is complete, the concrete deck surrounding it will be poured.

If all goes according to the new plan, the LPA and LPN say the new pool and hot tub will be ready to open as soon as weather permits in 2015.
