A unique meeting is targeting individuals under the age of 40 in Greene County.

Greene County Under 40, sponsored by the organization committee of Jefferson Matters: Main Street, is having a meeting tonight at Doc’s Stadium in Jefferson for those who want to instill change in the community.

Program Director Alan Robinson talks about why there needs to be a younger group of people working together for the greater good of the area.

“The group is actually kind of coming together just to even define its purpose.  They know they want to be more proactive in the community.  And now as they come and dialogue and network, we see them developing their own type of project.”

Other topics that will be discussed include what kinds of areas people are interested in doing for the community through networking, socializing, community service or continuing education.

The meeting will be from 5-6:30pm at Doc’s Stadium on the east side of the downtown square in Jefferson tonight.
