Today is the official kick off of the 2014 Dallas County Fair.

Everyone is invited to join in on the fun with no admission charge thanks to gate sponsor of the day, DuPont – Pioneer.

4-H members will be checking and weighing in their livestock this morning.  The static exhibit building and community building both open at 6pm and the silent auction starts tonight as well.

This evening the carnival will open up at 6pm and the 2014 Dallas County Fair Queen will be crowned at the entertainment plaza at 7:00.

When you’re there, stop by the Raccoon Valley Radio “Big Red Radio” where we’ll be broadcasting live throughout the duration of the fair and students can sign up to win a belt buckle from Brownfield.

It all takes place at the Dallas County Fairgrounds just north of Adel.
