Ticket-LogoThursday promises to be a day full of fun and entertainment at the Greene County Fair.

Greene County ISU Extension 4-H and Youth Coordinator Sarah Jo Reynolds says the day starts with the 4-H and FFA swine show in the showring at 8am, followed by the Barnyard Games behind the showring at noon for all youth.

The afternoon consists of a cattle fitting competition at 2:30pm, with the 4-H and FFA horse and pony show at 4pm and the rabbit show at 6:30pm, all at the showring.

Then in the evening a free movie with “Despicable Me 2” behind Clover Hall with a Poppin’ Penelope show before the movie.

Reynolds talks about who Poppin’ Penelope is and what she will be doing that night.

“She’s the one that creates all the fashionable balloons outfits and animals that walk around the Greene County fairgrounds.  So she’ll do a little magic show right before the video.”

Plus, the 4-H Clover Cafe will be open from 10am-7pm and open art exhibits will be accepted from 1-7pm at Clover Hall in the exhibit building.
