Two deputies responded to a verbal altercation in the 200 block of 6th Street in Grand Junction. The disagreement involved the repair of a vehicle and the removal of that car to another location in Grand Junction.

Two deputies were dispatched to a reported accident involving a car and a motorcycle at the intersection of Grand and Madison Streets in Scranton. A 2007 Chrysler 300 M being driven by Tracy William McDonald 38, of Jefferson was struck from behind by a 2005 Yamaha motorcycle being operated by Donald Duane Daniel 42, of Scranton. An altercation ensued between the two drivers before the deputy’s arrival, but a responding Department of Transportation Enforcement Officer working in the area arrived at the scene and parted the two. Personnel from the Greene County Emergency Medical Services and the Scranton Fire Department also responded to the accident. Donald Daniel was transported to the Greene County Medical Center for a possible broken foot. Both drivers will be issued citations for Disorderly Conduct and Donald Daniel was also issued a citation for Failure to stop in a Safe and Assured Distance. Damage was estimated to be minor to both the car and the motorcycle. The accident and the altercation are still under investigation by the Sheriff’s Office.

A deputy was advised of a possible theft of personal property from a rural residence in the 1500 block of E Avenue. The deputy will be questioning several individuals as to the  disappearance of the property.

Dispatchers at the Greene County Law Enforcement Center assisted in dispatching a  tow truck for a motorist that became stuck as he attempted to turn his vehicle around near the boat ramp at Squirrel Hollow Park.

In all cases when a defendant has been charged, this is merely an accusation, and all  defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty.
