Clive’s Kelsie Stahly was crowned the 2014 Dallas County Fair Queen last night during the first official evening of this year’s fair.
The 2014 Waukee High School graduate was involved in the National Honor Society, Mock Trial, Color Guard, 4-H and silver cord in high school and plans to attend the University of Minnesota this fall.
She won the crown in a contest against 8 other Dallas County teens including Hannah Button, Maggie Bermel, Paige Carlson, Alexa Nielsen, Emma Skahill, Ryann Slycord, Anna Steggerda, and Katelyn Wilderdyke.
Wilderdyke was named the 2014 Dallas County Princess and Skahill is this year’s runner up.
Stahly will reign over this year’s fair which continues through Sunday. She will also represent Dallas County at the Iowa State Fair contest next month in Des Moines.
