Summer is a busy time for road construction and lane closures and residents in Dallas County are experiencing a few of them right now.

According to the Dallas County road department, Van Meter based Cunningham-Reis has been contracted to make repairs to the F-90 bridge over the Raccoon River.

Crews will be removing worn areas on the deck surface of the Booneville Bridge and replacing them with new material.

During this process, the bridge will be limited to one lane from 8am to 4pm daily.  Flaggers will be on site directing traffic and the road will re-open to both lanes of traffic overnight.

In addition, the County has also decided to close another road indefinitely.  Due to recent storm damage, A Avenue between Highway 44 and 255th Place, near the border of Dallas and Guthrie Counties, has been closed until further notice.

Anyone with questions about either project can call the road department at 993-4289.
