The rate of precipitation falling in the Raccoon River Valley has slowed down this past week but we’re still on track to hit the normal monthly amount for July.

According to the National Weather Service, Perry received 1.19 inches of rain this past week for a total of 2.39 inches so far this month.

Jefferson received 1.12 inches for just over two and a quarter inches in July and one inch fell in Guthrie Center with just over two inches received so far this month.

All three local weather reporting areas typically see between 4.42 and 4.86 inches of rain in July.
