September may seem like it’s a long ways away but summer will be finished before we know it.

The Dallas County Conservation Board is preparing for their annual Prairie Awakening Celebration coming up on Saturday, September 8^th.

Museum Curator Pete Malmberg says this is an event that many people look forward to for education and entertainment.

This year the Ioway Nation will be highlighted during the program.

It takes place Saturday, September 6^th from 5-9pm, is free and open to the public.
