The annual Greene County Medical Center Auxiliary quilt raffle is going on now.

This year’s theme is “Sweet Memories” which is hand-pieced in red, pinks and greens, embroidered by Joyce Raver, hand-quilted by Heartfelt Quilters of Scranton and bound by Joyce Clark.

Community Relations Director Carla Offenburger says the 90-inch-by-90-inch quilt is on display at the Gift Garden at the medical center and tickets are $1 each or six for $5 and can be purchased from the Gift Garden or any Auxiliarian.

She points out that last year’s raffle sold over 1,000 tickets and all the proceeds from the quilt raffle will go back to the Auxiliary for equipment purchases for the hospital.

Last fiscal year, the Auxiliary raised over $21,000 for equipment purchases.

This year’s drawing will be held at medical center’s Table Talk event on October 18th and tickets can be purchased up until that date.
