The radiology department at Greene County Medical Center was recently recognized for its high remarks from patient satisfaction scores.

Community Relations Director Carla Offenburger says the radiology department has had their patient satisfaction scores above the 90% rank for the past three consecutive quarters.

Press Ganey Associates, Incorporated sends out random patient surveys and is the nation’s leader in supporting and improving the patient experience for over 10,000 health care organizations and compiles the patient satisfaction scores.

Offenburger notes that the medical center views the satisfaction scores as a significant voice of the patient and take the results from the surveys very seriously in making adjustments or changes to services and the facility when warranted.  Surveys are also used to recognize staff members for taking very good care of patients in all areas of service including registration, facility, test and treatment and overall assessment of the medical center.

Anne Grill, Press Ganey patient experience advisor says that radiology is in the to 10% of the country for their overall rating and the top 8% for the test and treatment section.

The medical center’s radiology staff were recognized during an employee reception earlier this week.
