The Perry offensive line appears to be one of the strengths this year as the Bluejays gear up for their season opener Friday against ADM.  The skill players will get their yards and the majority of the headlines but the chemistry of the offensive line is usually the fuel that drives a team to success.

“We are excited about our lines this year.  In fact we could go with 2 or even 3 lines.  This is the fourth year in the system for many of the kids and that is huge! Now granted, a lot of these guys haven’t worked with Coach Seeley, Coach Kettelson and Coach Richmond the entire time, but it is amazing how a couple years experience can really speed up the learning curve,” commented Perry Head Coach Jason Olejniczak.  “We probably had the most talent up front my first year here but it wasn’t until week 7 or 8 until they fully grasped the system.  This year’s team is already there and hopefully will benefit from the system a lot quicker.”

Jorge Soto will look to be the leader up front on a Perry line that will blend seniors with underclassmen.  JR McCord, Jacob Clark, Joe Olvera, and Bryce Bucklew are some of the names that have enjoyed a solid summer camp. The Bluejays travel to ADM Friday night for the season opener.
