Even though Perry senior Claire Marburger recently committed to play basketball at Valparaiso, the distractions of making the tough decision have not affected her play on the volleyball court after the first full week of action.

“Claire is so fierce,” added Head Coach Kristel Kauztky.  “She is fearless on the court.  When we need somebody to dive after a ball to keep it alive, she will do it.  When we need a kill in the clutch moment of the match, she can do it.  When we need a free ball over the net, she can do it and usually find the open space.  I want the ball to touch her hands because usually good things happen when it does.”

Marburger and the Jayettes (4-3) will travel to Adel tomorrow night for the ADM Invitational.
