iowa state patrolMore information has been released about the investigation of the traffic-related death of a Jefferson man in Boone County.

According to the Iowa State Patrol, 20 year-old Aaron Christopher Beaman was traveling northbound on L Avenue when investigators say Beaman lost control of his 2004 Chevrolet Silverado and went into the west ditch and then into the east ditch.  His vehicle rolled once coming to a stop on all four tires.

Beaman’s body was found in the 600 block at 7:35am on Sunday.  The report shows that beer cans were found at the scene and that Beaman wasn’t wearing his seatbelt and that his airbags did not deploy.

The cause of the accident remains under investigation pending results from toxicology tests at the State Medical Examiner’s office.  The Iowa State Patrol is in charge of the investigation.

The Boone County Sheriff’s office, the Boone County Emergency Medical Services, Ogden First Responders and the Ogden Fire Department all assisted at the scene.
