They had to play a little longer and fight a little harder, but the ADM Volleyball Tigers came out victorious once again on Tuesday night. ADM traveled to Huxley for Raccoon River Conference action and took care of the Ballard Bombers in four sets.

ADM took the opening two sets by scores of 25-18 and 25-11 before dropping a marathon third set, 28-26. The Tigers rebounded, however, with a 25-18 win in the fourth set to clinch the match.

Senior Maddie Mikkelsen paced ADM with 13 kills; fellow senior Kari Dufoe was right behind her with 12. Junior Brennan Hook notched a team-high 20 assists, while senior Marissa Felt had 16 and a team-high five aces. Brennan’s little sister, Jordan, lead the way with 14 digs.

ADM improves to 15-6 overall and 2-1 in Raccoon River conference play. The Tigers have won three of their last four matches following a three-match losing streak — which is just the second time this season they’ve dropped consecutive matches.

Next up, the Tigers on Saturday head to Dubuque for a multi-team tournament, their first in three weeks.
