With the forecast on Wednesday calling for a 90 percent chance of thunderstorms during the day Thursday, the Perry Community School Leon Fox Cross Country Invitational was postponed from Thursday to Tuesday, Oct. 7. That means ADM runners will have gone a full two weeks since their last race.

The Tigers last ran in their own invitational on Monday, Sept. 22, whentThe boys varsity team took fifth place out eight teams and the freshmen-lead girls varsity squad was second out of seven teams.

This certainly isn’t this first time this season ADM has had a run-in with Mother Nature. ADM’s first event in early August was pushed back two days due to extreme heat, the Winterset Invitational on Sept. 9 was wiped out because of nasty weather, — head coach David Zwank decided not to have his teams run in the makeup races — and now this most recent postponement changes the schedule once again.
