The ADM football Tigers dropped a wild one on Friday at Creston, but fear not Tigers fans — ADM is still alive for a playoff spot.
The Tigers (2-4, 1-3 District) are in fifth place in Class 3A-District 8, one spot short of a playoff berth – but ADM essentially controls its own destiny the rest of the season. This Friday, ADM hits the road to take on last-place Glenwood, who is 0-3 in district play. The following week, ADM takes on 3-3 Norwalk at home in non-district play, another winnable game. If ADM can take care of business against those two teams, it may set up a de facto play-in game for the district’s fourth and final playoff spot in the final week of the regular season.
ADM closes the regular season at home against Harlan, who currently is a half-game ahead of ADM in fourth place with a 2-4 record overall and 1-2 record in district play. Keep in mind Harlan takes on the hot Winterset Huskies on the road this Friday; Winterset has won three in a row and is 4-2 in district play. After that, Harlan faces another tough test with a home game against first-place Creston.
We’ll have all the coverage of ADM’s game at Glenwood on Friday starting at 6:45 p.m. Kickoff is at 7:30 on K107 and raccoonvalleyradio.com.
