The Greene County girls were third and the boys seventh on Tuesday in Lake City at the South Central Calhoun Cross-Country Invitational. PAC/L-M (Pocahontas) won the girls’ team title with 19 points, followed by the host Titans at 48. Greene County had 63 points with Alta-Aurelia at 110, Kuemper Catholic (Carroll) 141, Southeast Valley (Gowrie) 149, East Sac County (Lake View) 214, and Sioux Central (Sioux Rapids) 215. The boys from Kuemper Catholic were first with 86 points and SE Valley and OA-BCIG (Ida Grove) each had 93. A-A was fourth at 95, followed by Ogden 103, South Central Calhoun 145, Greene County 189, Manson-Northwest Webster 214, ESC 236, Ridge View (Holstein) 241, PAC/LM 290, Woodward Academy 314, and Paton-Churdan 370.

Grace Meyer of PAC/LM won the four kilometers (2.48 miles) race for girls in 15:37.47. Olivia Hansen led the Rams with an eighth place finish in 17:07.34. Other Greene County girls who scored team points were Emily Christensen, 11th in 17:33.36, Eme Johnson, 12th in 17:34.25, Emily Finch, 14th in 17:45.39, and Noelle Gray, 26th, in 18:37.08.

Trey Thompson of Ogden was first in the boys’ five kilometers (3.1 miles) in 17:37.77. The Rams were led by Logan Egeland’s 10th place finish in 18:50.34. Landon Braun was 23rd in 19:12.74, followed by Anthony Cunningham, 49th in 20:21.79. Kane Borgeson, 51st in 20:26.85, and Abe Yoder, 65th in 21:06.87.
