The ADM Volleyball Tigers will look to bounce back from a disappointing home loss on Tuesday to conference foe Bondurant-Farrar when they travel to non-conference rival Dallas-Center Grimes at 7 p.m. Thursday night.

Tigers head coach Mary Beth Scott said her team has been playing some tough competition lately, and was hurt by the 12-day layoff that preceded Tuesday’s loss. She expects the same sort of level of play from the Mustangs.

“Now we get to play DCG, who I think it’s going to be a very evenly-matched night,” Scott said. “We both have the same record. I think we both have similar teams, so I think it’s going to be a good match.”

ADM come in at 19-9 overall, while Dallas-Center Grimes is 19-10. The 10th-ranked Tigers are fourth in the Raccoon River Conference with a 4-2 conference record, while the Mustangs sit atop the Little Hawkeye Conference with a 5-1 record against conference opponents.

Aside from a rivalry game, the two teams are partaking in a Dig Pink Rally to support the fight against breast cancer. This is the fifth year in a row the two schools, who alternate hosting duties each year, have partnered for the fundraiser. The Mustangs are holding a dinner from 5-7 p.m. as well as an auction throughout the night. There will also be “Dig Pink” T-shirt for sale.

All proceeds benefit the Side-Out Foundation, which “awards grants to medical research organizations and entities dedicated to providing compassionate support to breast cancer patients and their families,” per the foundation’s website.
