ADM Volleyball lost its second consecutive match, a four-setter at Dallas-Center Grimes Thursday night. The Mustangs took the opening set 25-12, and the Tigers evened things up with a 25-20 win in set two. Things fell off the rails after that, as DCG took the third set 25-14 and the fourth and final set, 25-20.

The No. 10 Tigers fell to 19-10 overall. The defeat marked the first time ADM has lost back-to-back matches in non-invitational play. ADM will look to get back on track with a series of matches this Saturday at the Knoxville Invitational.

Prior to Tuesday’s match vs. Bondurant, ADM hadn’t played in 12 days. With that said and ADM’s recent slide, head coach Mary Beth Scott said she’s glad the invitational is happening when it is.

“We need to get back into playing some repetition and getting into the flow,” Scott said.  “I really like the fact that we have a tournament on this date. We need to get it rolling again, and so it really helps us.
“The following Thursday, we play Carroll, and so we’ll be able to take away what happens Saturday, work on that Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday, and be ready to go for Carroll.”
