Police Chief Dave Morlan says 22 year-old Hayley Lynn Brown is charged with a Class D Felony for four counts of forgery.  The charge stems from an incident on November 23rd when the accused stole a check from her mother’s business and cashed it at an ATM.

Morlan notes that Brown turned herself into the Law Enforcement Center on Tuesday after fleeing from a residential facility in Story County where she was serving a two year probation violation sentence.  She is additionally charged with an escape from custody charge from Story County for leaving the residential facility and the Greene County Sheriff’s office has filed a Class D Felony for third degree burglary from incidents in late November and early December.

She was previously charged with felonies for ongoing criminal conduct, forgery and burglary, along with misdemeanors for identity theft, unlawful possession of prescription drugs and unlawful use of a credit card from several incidents that happened between July 30th and August 13th.

She is currently being held in the Greene County Jail under a $20,000 cash-only bond.
