Funeral services for John Nimmo, 78, of Boone, will be Wednesday at 10 am at the First United Methodist Church in Boone.  A graveside service will be held at 2:30 pm Wednesday at the Newton Union Cemetery in Newton.  Visitation with the family will be held on Tuesday from 6 pm to 8 pm at the Schroeder Funeral Home in Boone.  Memorials are suggested to the Boone Area Humane Society or the First United Methodist Church in Boone.  Online condolences may be left for the family at schroederfuneral.com.  Survivors include:  Wife, Florence Nimmo of Boone.  Daughter, Joanna Sorber of Jefferson.  Son, Patrick Nimmo of Poughquag, New York.  2 granddaughters.  Brothers, Joe Nimmo of St. Charles, Illinois and Alan Nimmo of Newton.  Sister, Phyllis Marsh of Annapolis, Maryland.
