As part of National Poison Prevention Week, Guthrie County Hospital and Pediatrics will be visiting area elementary schools to discuss the dangers of potentially poisonous chemicals and substances. It will also include information on the dangers of taking too much medicine. Guthrie County Hospital’s Director of Pharmacy Dr. DeeAnn Wedemeyer Oleson says it’s important to remind kids that medicine is not candy and should only be administered by an adult. The poison prevention events are scheduled to take place Monday afternoon at 1 pm at the Stuart Elementary Center and Wednesday at 1:30 pm at the Dexter Elementary Center.
