iowa state patrolA two vehicle accident closed down part of Highway 30 in Greene County.  Greene County Dispatch reports that the accident happened at 4:10pm.  Chief Deputy Jack Williams says an eastbound car went onto the south shoulder, over-corrected and crossed the center line and struck a semi truck that was heading west.

 Both victims were transported with injuries to Greene County Medical Center by Greene County Emergency Medical Services.  Their current status is unknown at this time.  Names of the victims have not been released.

Williams notes that they closed Highway 30 about four miles east of Jefferson to S Avenue for about 90 minutes.

Greene County Sheriff’s office, Greene County EMS, Jefferson Fire Department, Grand Junction Fire and Rescue and the Iowa State Patrol all responded to the scene.  The Iowa State Patrol is in charge of the investigation.
