Abby Badger is the 2015 Greene County Fair Queen.

She is the daughter of Brent and Jen Badger from Bagley.  She says she thought she had a good chance to become this year’s county fair queen and is excited that it happened.

“It feels really good.  I’m really blessed to be able to have this experience and just be able to be something for our County.”

The 2014 Greene County Fair Queen Hannah Gunn crowned Badger at Friday night’s coronation ceremony at Clover Hall on the fairgrounds in Jefferson in front of a standing only crowd.  Badger has already done very well at the county fair, she was the grand champion for market pen of three hogs and grand champion for market individual hogs.

The other candidates were Sarah Sandage, Kasey Lane and Molly Hoskins.  Badger will now compete for Iowa State Fair Queen in August.

She will be a junior at Greene County High School this fall.
