We are coming up on the final days of the silent auction fundraiser for Jefferson Matters: Main Street.

Program Director Peg Raney says the Tower View Team’s Pedaler Palooza features “yarn bombed” bikes in storefront windows around the square.  Raney believes this is a great opportunity for people to bid on a piece of locally created art.

“If you want to have one of those in your business later on or in your home, or in your front yard or  maybe you have an idea of where you could use one of those yarn bombed bikes.  It will be a fundraiser for the Alphabet Alley, that’s the alley on the west side of the square.”

Raney adds that they have some plans of how they want the alley to look as it leads to the Jefferson Public Library.

After today, all the bikes will be on display at Thomas Jefferson Gardens on the southeast corner of the square and that will be the final day of the auction.
