In their last weekend tournament of the season in Waverly, the ADM/Van Meter girls soccer team added two more wins to their record. The unfortunate side to the weekend tournament for the Lady Tigers however, was that their unblemished record would falter to one loss on the season.
As if each outcome was speaking in binary code, each of ADM/Van Meter’s matches ended in a 1-0 score regardless of the victor. In their first bout taking on Denver, the Lady Tigers took the 1-0 victory off the Kylee Luther while Sydney Canney matched that against Husdon also ending in a 1-0 ADM victory. The lone loss for ADM/Van Meter came at the hands of North Scott off of a penalty kick late in the second half. The Lady Tigers would be on the unfortunate end of that 1-0 score for their first loss of the season.
After the Waverly tournament, the Lady Tigers now sit at 14-1 on the season. They will be back at it again tonight as they go on the road to square off against Raccoon River Conference opponent Carlisle in a 6:00 pm match up.
