A Scranton man is sentenced to federal prison for child pornography.

Greene County Attorney Nick Martino says 23 year-old Anthony Michael Grife was sentenced to 15 years in federal prison on child pornography charges from South District of Iowa, US District Court.

The federal sentence is to run concurrently with Grife’s sentence in Greene County District Court from last week. Grife pled guilty to a Class D Felony for lascivious acts with a child, touching or fondling. He was sentenced to ten years to Oakdale Medical and Classification Center and ordered to pay a $1,000 fine. He must also register with the Iowa Sex Offender’s Registry and there is a no contact order with the victim.

The charges stem from an executed search warrant at a rental property in the 400 block of Madison Street in Scranton for a reported sexual abuse incident on October 24, 2015. The Greene County Sheriff’s office recovered a cellphone and computer with sexual images on it with victim, some before her second birthday.

The rest of the charges including three felony counts of second degree sexual abuse were dismissed. Once released from prison, Grife will be under supervision for the rest of his life.
